MTS Allstream congratulates Cindy Klassen on her recent podium finishes at the Canadian Single Distance Championships in Calgary. Klassen placed second in the women's 1500m event and third in the women's 3000m speed skating race, building on a strong start to the 2010-11 World Cup season. She began the season with a silver medal in the women's 3000m event at Heerenveen, the Netherlands.

At a press conference in Calgary, today, Speed Skating Canada (SSC) nominated 16 long track speed skaters to the Canadian Olympic Committee for participation in the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games. This nomination followed the Olympic Selection competition held at the Calgary Olympic Oval from December 27 to January 2nd.
