MTS Allstream and Aboriginal Communities
MTS Allstream is committed to working with the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs to address the telecommunications needs of the First Nation people. Working together, we explore opportunities for the potential development and implementation of initiatives that enhance the participation of Aboriginal people, communities, and businesses in Manitoba 's economy.
With four initial areas of focus (‘Employment', ‘Education and Training', ‘Business Development and Procurement', and ‘Information Technology and Communication'), MTS Allstream and the AMC are working to develop improved telecommunications services and infrastructure in rural and remote communities, which could lead to other social and economic benefits.
