Nothing demonstrates community commitment more visibly than the efforts of volunteers. Our people are involved as volunteers in a wide range of causes and organizations.
At Allstream, we support employees who volunteer in their community with the "My Community" program. It includes:
- "My Community Day" - offers employees the opportunity to participate in a local charitable event with their colleagues across the country.
- "My Time is Money" - enables employees who volunteer 10 hours or more with a single registered charity to apply for an annual corporate donation of up to $500.
- "Match my Dollar" supports employee fundraising initiatives by matching 25 cents per dollar raised, up to a maximum of $500 per event/per employee.
- "My Community Successes" provides a forum for employees to share their own volunteering experiences or to highlight the contributions of a colleague.
At MTS:
- MS Bike Tour - For the past sixteen years, employee volunteers host an aid station for this annual August biking fundraising event in support of multiple sclerosis.
- Manitoba Marathon - This annual event is held on Fathers¿ Day and our employee volunteers have been there since the beginning.

Five MTS Allstream teams participated in the Heart & Stroke Big Bike in Toronto in June 2008, raising a total of $22,557 for the cause - more than any other participating company.
The MTS Allstream team at the 2006 Dragon Boat Festival in Winnipeg. Proceeds from the Festival went to the Canadian Cancer Society.
