Change Your Internet Dial-up Settings to a 10-Digit Phone Number

Choose your operating system and follow the instructions provided.

Windows XP

1. Click the START button on your desktop and select Run; or, alternatively you can hold the Windows key on keyboard and tap the R key.
2. The Run Window will appear. Enter ncpa.cpl in the Open: field and click OK.

   

3. Right-click on Dial-up Connection and select Properties

   

4. Change the phone number to include the area code - 2042254638 and click OK. Do not use the Area code field.

   

Windows Vista

1. Click the Network icon in your desktop tray and select Connect to a network.

   

2. Right click on Dial-up Connection and select Properties.

   

3. Change the phone number to include the area code – 2042254638 and click OK. Do not use the Area code field.

   

Windows 7

1. Click the Network icon in your system tray, right-click on the Dial-up Connection and select Properties.

   

2. Change the phone number to include the area code – 2042254638 and click OK. Do not use the Area code field.

   

MAC OS 10.5 / 10.6 / 10.7

1. Click Apple menu and select System Preferences.
2. Open Network icon.
3. Select Dial-up Connection from list, update Telephone Number field to 2042254638 and click Apply. Do not use the Area code field.
