Keynote speaker Gore to touch on themes of new book at Allstream's premier thought-leadership event
TORONTO, ON, November 9, 2009 - Guests of the 2009 Allstream Global Forum will have the opportunity to purchase Al Gore's new publication "Our Choice: A Plan to Solve the Climate Crisis", a pioneering follow-up to his bestselling "An Inconvenient Truth". The former U.S. Vice-President will touch on themes of "Our Choice" for the first time in Canada as keynote speaker at the 2009 Allstream Global Forum on November 24, 2009, at the Allstream Centre at Exhibition Place in Toronto. Mr. Gore plans to share his new and compelling vision of how business can play a pivotal role in ensuring these changes for the better through innovation and investment in new technology.
"We are very excited to welcome Vice-President Al Gore as the keynote speaker at the Allstream Global Forum - one of Canada's premier thought-leadership events. We look forward to hearing about the vision he shares in his new book," said Dean Prevost, President Enterprise Solutions division, MTS Allstream. "Mr. Gore has been recognized across the world for his tremendous leadership and passion on environmental issues, and I know guests will be excited to hear about Our Choice and the thought leadership it offers on how we can all work together to tackle the challenge of climate change."
During the three and a half years since the release of "An Inconvenient Truth", Al Gore organized and moderated over 30 lengthy and intensive "Solutions Summits," where the world's leading experts came to discuss and share their knowledge with the goal of finding the most effective courses of action. Our Choice is the result of the groundbreaking insights offered by these participants, whose expertise has made it possible to construct a fresh and unique approach not seen before.
